Middle Atlantic regional Skirmish

 Fort Ross, PA - June 6 to 8, 2008


 

 

Fellow Skirmishers,

          You are cordially invited to the Forney’s Battalion USMC regional skirmish, to be held at Fort Ross - the home range of the Middle Atlantic Region.  Fort Ross is located in Southeastern Pennsylvania not too far from the Maryland border.  The dates of the skirmish are June 6th to 8th, 2008.

 

          The camping area will open at noon on Friday, June 6th.  There will be individual matches for musket, carbine, smooth bore, breechloaders, and revolvers on Friday, June 6th and Saturday, June 7th. The carbine, smoothbore, and tender foot BB Company matches will be held on Saturday afternoon.  The musket company match will be held on Sunday morning June 8th. There is a list of events and awards on the following pages.

                   For your convenience the Boy Scouts will have a concession stand open Saturday and Sunday for breakfast and lunch.

Friday, June 6, 2008:

 

1200 hours    Camping area opens.

1230 hours    the range will open for Individual competition.

1800 hours    the range will close for individual competition.

 

 

Saturday, June 7, 2008:

 

0900 hours    the range will open for Individual competition.

1400 hours    the range will close for individual competition.

1430 hours    Carbine team captains meeting will begin.

1500 hours    Carbine team competition will begin.

1715 hours    Smoothbore team captains meeting will begin.

1730 hours    Smoothbore team competition will begin.

Tender foot BB company competition will begin after the smoothbore team competition ends.

 

 

Sunday, June 8, 2008:

 

0800 hours    Individual protests taken

0830 hours    Individual protest closed

0830 hours    Team captains meeting for musket competition.

0900 hours    Formation for opening ceremonies.

                        Relay one for the musket team competition to start after the opening                                               ceremonies.

                        Secure the range after the last relay of the musket competition.

          Carbine “A” company medals (classified) will be awarded as follows.

                                    Classes A-1, A-2, & A-3: 1st& 2nd place.

 

            Carbine “B” company medals (unclassified) will be awarded to 1st & 2nd place.

 

            Musket “A” company medals (classified) will be awarded as follows.

                                    Classes A-1, A-2, & A-3: 1st & 2nd place.

 

            Musket “B” company medals (unclassified) will be awarded to 1st & 2nd place.
